How to fish with Black Minnow

Black Minnow has become the most famous soft lure in recent years. A lure that they say catches everything. Both in the sea and river and all kinds of species. But what is your secret? In our opinion, the secret of Black minnow's success is its extra-soft body with a touch that will not leave you indifferent. It is very different from most of the vinyl lures on the market. With a unique vibratory linear swimming, it moves linearly in a very natural way, it is perhaps one of the most similar imitations of a real fry.

But now comes the question, How to fish with Black Minnow? The reality is that it does not have excessive complications, it is very easy to handle but we will have to keep these 3 basic rules in mind if we want to do things properly and for our Black Minnow to work the way it should.

- Each head is handled in a different way and the success of our journey depends on it. Later we will explain the 3 most used types of heads and how we should handle them.

 - Each body measurement has a specific head and hook measurement, we cannot mix them. The heads and hooks bodies are marked with some measurements (1,2,3,4 ...) everything has to be according to your measurement, if we mix it we will only damage the body and that it does not swim properly.

- We must correctly place the hook after each piece collected and make sure that it actually remains in place after a bite or a hook. It is very important that the hook, although hidden, pokes the tip through the hole intended for it. If not, we will fail bites and also prematurely spoil the lure.

We must remember that with this Black Minnow mounting system the hook is hidden, allowing it to be put in difficult places with less risk of jamming, but we must also be very attentive to the bite and drive energetically when it occurs. It is a Mount very similar to Texas, so many of you will already be familiar with it and nothing new will come of it.

In our opinion, the most versatile heads are the following:

SHORE. It is the head that we will use in the linear collection, a basic one, valid for all species and for any time as long as we fish in very deep areas.

It is very important given the realism of the swimming of this lure, to avoid the collection with wrist pulls, we know that it is a basic collection in any soft lure, but this is not just any lure, it is a Black Minnow, so with a linear collection, we will show all its effectiveness, totally natural swimming. Yes, we can change the collection speed to cause bites, although a slow collection near the bottom is usually the most effective and most used technique with this head.

We will choose the grammage depending on the depth at which we are going to fish.

With the 3 gram head, we can fish in totally shallow areas up to approximately 2-3 meters. If we use the 5 gr one we will be able to fish in shallow areas up to a maximum of 5 meters and if we already use the 12 gram one we will make sure that the area to be caught goes from one meter and a half to a maximum of 7 meters.

OFFSHORE. It is the perfect head to make a sawtooth, the Black Minnow will swim perfectly both on the rise and in the fall, one of the techniques most used by fishermen today.

To get started in this fishing we recommend you first purchase combos before starting to try the different possibilities, guide you a little through this article which is the head that best suits the place where you are going to fish and experiment with them, first try to follow these guidelines Although it is something different from the fishing that you normally do with vinyl lures and it will surprise you. Then each one will exercise their little tricks.
