The "M" (2,200 masl.)

Area: Chipinque Ecological Park, San Pedro.

For Chipinque:

The path begins on the plateau of Chipinque, on the left side of the hotel, crossing the gate that is before the path. Here, you will find the ranger who is in charge of keeping track of who enters and leaves. You have to sign and note the time of entry. It is important to call several days in advance to obtain the entry permit since they regulate the number of people who enter daily. At 5:30 am they open the park, so it is not possible to access earlier unless you request permission. If your idea is to go up to see the sunrise or sunset and you need to go up before or after the Chipinque Park hours, it is necessary to go up through the Olinalá neighborhood, but you need permission from a colonist to let you enter.

For Olinalá:

another gutter between two high walls. Here you begin to climb the rounded shape of La M, again you will find another chain to help with the advance, only here, you will find it on the right side. Finally, there is some easy climbing, it may seem a bit intimidating this area, but with due caution, it is easy to cross it. If it is the first time you go up, let someone who already knows the way, go ahead of you. Allow approximately 2 and a half hours at a leisurely pace for this ascent. Crest of the Eagles

The route begins, like the M, on the Chipinque plateau, however, at the stone of the Y the paths divide, you have to take the path to the left. The signs indicate it as a path to Las Antennas and La Ventana since it is not the traditional route. Once you start the trail to the left, you will be about 15 mins. To get to the deviation to Las Antennas, this is the most accessible summit of Chipinque, from here you can already see the other side of the mountain. From here, it takes about an hour to reach the "Amigo Tree", which is where the final ascent to El Copete begins. Las Antennas and La Ventana are at a height of 1950 meters above sea level, then go down to 1850 meters above sea level and then go up to 2200 meters. that El Copete has. In the final part, above the Amigo Tree, there is a climb that is somewhat shocking.
